Nidal Malik Hasan was screaming Allahu Akbar as he shot his fellow Soldiers, and President Obama tells us that we shouldn't be "jumping to conclusions."

I am truly sorry, Mr. President, but your advice seems a bit too specious.

Americans aren't jumping to conclusions ... the facts are there:

- a U.S. Army Officer, sworn to the service of this nation attacked and murdered his fellow Soldiers.

- a U.S. citizen attacked and murdered his fellow citizens.

- this Traitor was screaming Allahu Akbar as he shot them down in cold blood.

- this Traitor had a history of comments that should have led to suspicions about just where his loyalties actually layed.

I pray for the dead and wounded and their families. I also pray for a swift and just Court Martial, followed by an even swifter public hanging.

Then, I pray that the Mainstream Media and our Politicians will wake up to the immanent threat posed to the West by orthodox Islam. Samuel Huntington was quite correct ...

Religion of Peace and Tolerance?

I think not.

However, I am sure that Europhiles, Democrats, "Progressives," and other members of the cheese-eating-surrender-monkey set will continue to pander to CAIR and other front organizations for Islamic Global Jihad and the reestablishment of the Caliphate.

I'm sure that the
two French security advisers about to be tried under Shar'ia law for "conspiracy against Islam" in Somalia are quite reassured by President Obama's previous rhetoric that "throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality."

Unfortunately, the reality is that the West does not understand Islam, and the so-called "moderate Muslims" that Western governments trot out as "representative" of this imaginary Religion of Peace are pariahs to devout members of Islam. Islam is, fundamentally, and intolerant religion that does not distinguish between Mosque and State, that accepts no equality of other religions or individuals of other faiths, that calls for the subjugation (or slaughter) of all non-Muslims, and seeks world domination under a theocratic Islamic state . . . the Caliphate.

I just hope that these two Frenchmen are afforded the nobility of execution by the sword or the axe and don't have their heads sawn off with a knife the way that the Islamic terrorists in Chechnya did to the Russian soldiers they executed.

Accurate Politics in Transformers 2

Blogger BUUUUURRRRNING HOT has posted an interesting political analysis of the new movie, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.

I took my two sons to see this movie on Friday night, and noticed that Michael Bay portray the President of the United States as Appeaser-in-Chief, willing to sell out his own military, turn his back on staunch allies (the fictional Autobots), and sacrifice a college freshman (and the whole planet) rather than take aggressive action against a terroristic and existential threat (the fictional Decepticons).

Accurate? Read the analysis and ponder the last several months of appeasement politics, and you decide.

P.S. - after a quick Google search that found many images likening John McCain to Megatron and Obama to Optimus Prime, I just had to chuckle and laugh at the simpletons who think that the leader of the Autobots would ever agree on policy with the current administration. Optimus Prime is the incarnation of a patriotic Conservative.

Islamic Terror in America

Today, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad shot two Army privates outside of a recruiting office in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Where is the outrage that Muslim terrorists are now beginning to strike in America's heartland?

The principle of defensive jihad calls upon all Muslims to strike against the enemies of Islam who are perceived to be on the offensive against the Ummah. It is logical to investigate this terrorist attack as (at a minimum) a self-directed attack against U.S. military forces by a dedicated Islamist (and homegrown American one at that).

Given the widespread dissemination of radical Islam through Western mosques, Americans must demand that the Islamic community in the United States open itself to the closest scrutiny of law enforcement to permit the identification of threats. Furthermore, a debate must be opened into whether or not a religious group still merits First Amendment protections when it calls for the destruction of the United States.

Only Stupid Rubes from Flyover Country Would Go to a Tea Party!

The Socialist elites on both coasts are full of derision for the mass, grass-roots movement which has culminated in the massive Tax Day Tea Party protests across the company.

Paul Krugman's recent Op-Ed in the New York Times and Marc Cooper's Opinion piece in the L.A. Times both rail against the Tea Party movements. On one hand, Krugman denies that the blatantly Socialist policies of the Obama administration deserve such appellation, and claims that the flailing G.O.P. is merely casting about for bogeymen. On the other hand, Cooper actually questions the sanity of those who do no agree with his Left-Wing views.

Both Krugman and Cooper sound the same (perhaps coordinated?) tune that this grass-roots movement is just a front for the Republican Party. Not only are they wrong (as anyone who attended one of these events today could attest to), but even were these protests "organized" by politically motivated forces, how is that different than the "community organizing" undertaken and advocated by our Community-Organizer-In-Chief?

Of course, both sides have lost sight of the real issues which triggered the Tea Party Movement:

1. The massive spending increases being pushed through by the Obama Administration, which will lead to . . .
2. Massive new deficit spending and vastly rising U.S. national debt, and
3. The creeping nationalization of U.S. industry.

The Anti-Gun Spin Machine

Following the recent shooting incident in Binghamton, NY, ABC News' 20/20 just did a piece of Leftist spin entitled Carrying a Gun Wouldn't Necessarily Get You out of a Shooting.

It is too easy, in today's urban reality, for liberal propagandists to find police officers (most of whom cannot handle their own weapons) who will advocate that Americans leap from rooftop to rooftop or hide in a closet, rather than seeking proper training and arming themselves.

In the article, it is clearly admitted that in order to properly respond to a lethal-force situation, proper training is required. Immediately, the assumption is made that Americans either would not or should not seek such training (which is all part of serving as a "well-regulated* militia"). Why is this? Liberal agenda?

* well-regulated = properly disciplined, trained, and equipped

I wouldn't visit Washington, D.C. right now . . .

According to an article in the Washington Post (and reported elsewhere), the senior Taliban leader in Pakistan (Baitullah Mehsud) has threatened to "amaze the world" with an attack on Washington, D.C.

Below is a an analysis of the damage that would occur in the NCR (National Capital Region) from a 550 kiloton surface burst. As you can see, all of DC-proper would be annihilated, and significant damage would extend into NoVA and Maryland.

Remember that Hezbollah is utilizing our porous southern border with Mexico to infiltrate the United States, and that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has selected Hezbollah to conduct terror operations against the U.S. if the U.S. were to strike Iranian nuclear facilities (see this report from Jihad Watch). Furthermore, Pakistan is a failing state armed with nuclear weapons.

Iran + Taliban + Hezbollah + Pakistani nukes = I wouldn't visit D.C.

On a brighter note, any nuclear weapon supplied by the Pakistanis (or stolen by the Taliban from Pakistan) would likely only have a yield of around 35 kilotons (more than double the yield of the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima, but less than double the yield of the bomb that destroyed Nagasaki). Both of those bombs were air bursts, which makes most efficient use of the destructive power of the burst. A surface detonation causes much of the energy of the bomb to be absorbed by the earth and immediately surrounding infrastructure.

So, if you live or work in D.C., you had better hope that the Administration's foolish quest* for the non-existant "moderate Taliban" pays off . . . if not, I'd find another place to be.
